Holy cow! Hard to believe it's been a little over a week since my last post already. Well, it was a jolly holiday with the family! Just so happened that the same days we were at my parents my sister was dog sitting her friends new puppy, Corona....I miss him. He was the most adorable little puppy and just wanted to snuggle...the perfect dog! He was part weiner dog, part pug and part min pin. So cute!
Pretty much just spent the whole time at the parents being a bum. Tuesday I spent the day at home with dad watching NCIS reruns all day while eveyone else was in town shopping or working. I swear my mom just spent the entire time cooking...she never takes a break! X-mas morning was brutal this year...I'm still like a little kid come X-mas morning...get up at 5am...go jump on my brothers bed to get him up. Not this year...well, I was up at 5am and Dan was up too...but we are usually awake then, so we headed downstairs to watch "The Christmas Story". Well, we woke mom up, so she got right up and started cooking breakfast and then after breakfast she started in on X-mas dinner, so while she was getting stuff prepared we were all just waiting to dig into the presents. We are usally done with gifts by 9...not this year...we didn't even start unwrapping till around 10:30...KILLER! I think everyone enjoyed there gifts this year. Lil sis struck in rich in gift cards cause me and her brother didn't know what to get her. Chris got mom a digital camera which she was supper psyched about. I got Dan a GPS since he always seems to get lost. Then Dan went way overboard on me, but I loved what he got me....RACHEL RAY POTS!!! WOO-WOO!! And new Kitchen Aid knives! And mom got me what I wanted most, which was a set of vampire novels I've been dying to get! Sara made me and Dan these really cool blankets....looks like she just got a couple yards of fleece material...picked out a designed piece and then a plain colored piece and then just tied them together...really cute idea! She made Dan one with sharks which he loved! Anyways I guess, enough about who got what!
Yesturday, we took down the Christmas tree. Pine needles are everywhere! That's the only part I hate about a live tree, but I refuse to go fake. Mom and dad put up a fake tree this year...I wasn't happy about it. Just wasn't right! Came home today and Dan had cleaned the entire living room, vacuumed up most of the pine needles and rearranged the living room. Looks great! I'm just glad I didn't have to do it! LOL!
Anyways, hope everyone has a Happy New Years! We're just staying in as usual and watching movies and eating pizza! Unfortunately, I volunteered to work from 9-1 tomorrow...blah, but it's time and a half and 4 hours won't kill me.
Glad you had such a good xmas...woohoo! Which novels did u get? Anne Rice maybe? I still have books to send you..hehe will try to get at least the first to out to you this week. Feels good to just veg out doesnt it! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI got the Sookie Stackhouse Boxed Set by Charlaine Harris. You can look it up on Amazon.com. It's the books that the new HBO series "True Blood" is based on. I'm hooked! At least with the books you don't have to wait for the next episode...hehe!
